About J. Birney Crum Stadium
J. Birney Crum Stadium is an event venue in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 2027 Linden St, Allentown, PA 18104, which places it among the local businesses of Allentown that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Around Allentown, good coaches book up before each season, so ask about waiting lists and package rates rather than single lessons. Group clinics are the cheapest way for an adult beginner to get regular court time and a set of practice partners, and many programs across Pennsylvania sort players by NTRP level so matches stay competitive. League sign-ups happen a few weeks before each season through a club or a local USTA captain. Camps and junior academies usually require a short evaluation first; ask about scholarship or sliding-scale spots, which many non-profit tennis associations offer.

Allentown for DCI! Great venue! A few hills to navigate. Clean porta- pottys. Parking was $25 at the Hamiltonβs restaurant but made for quick walk to the stadium.

We were there for the DCI show. It was adequate, and perfect for that sort of show where everything is focused to one side. Getting to our seats was challenging since there's no marking for the row numbers, and no handrails. I can somewhat understand the lack of handrails since they'd be difficult to add to an older stadium like this. You would think that it wouldn't be difficult to add row numbers though.

Decent place for event. Went for a marching band competition. Mean hill at gate and stairs at stadium don't have a rail.

I am pretty obsessive when it comes to visiting a venue like this for the first time. And it was almost impossible to find good reviews so I thought I would share in case it helps somebody else. As far as parking, I had a lot of people helping me by telling me that street parking wasnβt really hard to find, you just have to get there at a reasonable time if you want to be closer. We actually arrived later than I wanted to, maybe 20 minutes before the event and we still were pretty close. I kept reading about a giant hill that you had to walk up to get to the seats and I didnβt understand until I got there. So if you park on a street near the βbottomβ entrance of the stadium, when you enter, you climb a steep paved path to get to the higher rows of bleachers. If youβre sitting in the first 15 bleachers starting from the field, though, you can simply just walk around the track from where you enter and walk up the steps. If you park in street parking thatβs at the βtopβ of the stadium (we chose to park on West Chew St between 22nd-20th) then when you enter and show your tickets, youβre in a good position to walk down to the higher bleachers. I am the idiot who parked near the top of

The absolute best views to watch Marching Band Competitions. From High School to College! Be sure to scope out the access for this who have mobility concerns. There is an entrance access on the back side of the stadium. For everyone else it is a climb but so worth it!

Great stadium to watch the A Class Nation Band Championships. Plenty of stadium bench seating. Bathrooms old but available by all exits. Food available for most events. Parking may be an issue during larger events.
